The Verizon telephone network has suffered a fiber cut causing a phone outage in the eastern portion of Williamson County including the cities of Thrall and Thorndale. In addition to land lines, individuals with Verizon cell phone service will likely not have cell phone service in the affected area. Individuals with AT&T or Sprint cell phone service will have cell phone service in the area. It is unknown how long it will take to repair the outage at this time.
People in the affected area without phone service that need emergency services should report to the nearest police or fire station to request emergency services or flag down emergency personnel patrolling the area. The Thrall Police Department is located at 102 Main Street, or the Thrall Fire Department is located at 208 S. Main Street.
